InsaniYat: If you give love to a street dog then you will also get back the same

If you are planning to buy a pet dog then first show your kindness to needy and hungry street dogs. As we know according to Newton’s 3rd law of motion every action has equal and opposite reaction which is also somewhat related to human-animal emotions, love and care. Durgesh, a boy studying in class seventh has a great feeling and love for the street dogs of his locality. Most of his friends have one or the other breeds of dogs at their homes but Durgesh father is against to have a pet dog at home. Often he ask his father for the dog but his request gets denied by some or the other reasons like dogs barks aloud, they are vicious, bla-bla….He has to overcome his wish for dog and started feeding, caring, loving the street dogs. These dogs never had owner so anyhow they get the fowl food but never the true love.

In India, the local landrace, known as the Indian pariah dog, has been estimated to have existed for perhaps fourteen thousand years or more. Part of the urban population consists of mongrels or mix-breeds–descended from pure-breed dogs that have been allowed to interbreed with pariahs. In 2001, a law was passed in India that made the killing of stray dogs illegal, and residents often feed the animals as well. In August 2014, the Delhi Police recruited many of the city's stray dogs as police dogs, after training them. The Welfare of Stray Dogs is a Mumbai-based organization working to eradicate rabies and control the street-dog population in a humane, scientific way.

We purchase dogs with good amount of bucks, give them proper shelter, milk, chicken etc but for street dogs we never thought about giving bread or even foul food which we throw in dust bin. Now a days having a dog is show off. We are forgetting the real meaning to have dog. It’s an old proverb said that “ Wafadaari me kutte se bad kar koi nahin hota hai” which means in terms of loyalty dogs are on top. The street dogs who really do care about our locality at night, barks at the slightest nuisance are not noticed by us.

Durgesh daily carry small part of his breakfast for his locality street dog when he leaves home for the school and feed them with true love and emotions. He also gave him a casual name ‘Rio’. Well if you are really planning to buy a dog then first try to serve and help these poor street dogs. You don’t have to take my words for it: science says so, too. A recent series of studies in the US suggest that dogs recognise kindness and give trust in return; that they experience emotions like love and attachment, like humans.
